MADISON – Yvonne M. Nieman, age 75, died peacefully at her daughter’s house due to complications of Alzheimer’s disease. She now joins her husband, Don in heaven. She was well cared for by her family during her difficult journey with Alzheimer’s. Yvonne was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. While raising her family, she held various jobs that enabled her to stay home to be a mother. Her five grandchildren were the highlight of her last 22 years. She is survived by her three children, Jeffrey (Gail) Nieman, Debra (Jeffrey) Crompton and Lori Nieman-Pierick; four granddaughters, Amanda Crompton, Jenna Pierick, Tracy Pierick and Jayne Nieman; grandson, Donald Lloyd Crompton; brother-in-law, Ronald (Nancy) Nieman, of Fond du lac; two nieces and a nephew; and special life-long friends, Pauline and William Gratz, of Madison; and many other special friends. She was preceded in death nine months earlier by her loving husband, Donald E. Nieman; parents, Gilbert and Orvilla Kessler; and a brother, John Gilbert Kessler. Thanks to Hospice for providing help in the home to assist in the excellent care that Yvonne received. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association so other families can receive grants to help care for their loved ones. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 413 Dempsey Road, on Monday, August 11, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Lance Schneider officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Madison. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Mom, we thank you and love you very much.
