Winston R. Whitford

COTTAGE GROVE – Winston R. Whitford, born Dec. 20, 1947, entered into God’s hands on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012. Winston enjoyed being outside, fixing anything from cars to bicycles. He will be mostly remembered by his love of music and the joy he gave others with his talent. He is survived by his wife, Julie; pets, Bazil and Sage; a son, Todd (Selena) Webster; daughter, Amy (Fabian) Trevino; grandchildren, Kaylee, Allison, Damien and Braciana; brothers, Kenneth (Sharon) Whitford and Gene (Debbie) Whitford; and sisters, Gail (Dick) Wagner and Joyce (Gomer) Johnson. Winston was preceded in death by his parents, Windy and Helen Whitford; and two sisters, Faith Weum and Bonnie Riddle. Winston fought hard till the end and never gave up. He will be truly missed by many friends and family. May you be at peace Winston, and let the wind blow you in any direction you wish. Please join us on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 to celebrate Winston’s life at the VFW POST 328, 200 Veterans Rd., Stoughton service with Pastor Jeff beginning at 4:30 p.m. Dinner and music will follow the service.
