MADISON - William Park “Bill” Reinhardt was born on March 25, 1953, and died, at home, on June 19, 2024, three months after being diagnosed with cancer.
He worked for many years at the South Madison Public Library and Canterbury Book Store. Bill loved books, especially travel books, and had an encyclopedic memory of what he read. He attended travel films and, in his way, traveled the world without leaving Madison, which was his lifelong home.
He enjoyed drinking coffee and breakfast at Monty’s. Bill was a gentle, kind man who avoided saying anything hurtful to anyone, including during his final days. He cared about people and enjoyed asking about and hearing stories about their pets. Bill had a dry wit and enjoyed joking about the ridiculous. He will be remembered with affection by the many people who knew and loved him.
On behalf of Bill, we thank all his devoted care givers who assisted him in his final months. Special thanks to Ubaldo, Hunter, Mohamed, Kokou, Brian and Audra.
Bill will be cremated, and no services will be held.
All Faiths Funeral & Cremation Services of Madison is handling arrangements. Online condolences can be shared at www.866allfaiths.com.
