William Joseph Becker

Mauston/Madison -- William (Bill) Joseph Becker, age 57, formerly of Madison, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at his home in Mauston. He was born May 20, 1957 the son of Orville and Ellen (Fumuso) Becker in Madison, WI. Bill graduated from LaFollette High school in Madison, WI and cherished the many friends he made there. He was a member Madison Scouts Drum Corp. He also served in the Air Force in Alaska as a firefighter. Bill worked 21 years for the state of Wisconsin at Mendota Mental Health Institution, Thompson Correctional Institution, and Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center. He retired in 2013. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to auctions. He especially loved playing cards. Bill’s favorite games were Euchre and Blackjack. Bill was a sports fan of all Wisconsin teams and athletes. He loved Cheap Trick and his PBR. He and Kris would take annual vacations to Las Vegas. Bill was also an avid prankster with a unique sense of humor. Bill will be dearly missed by his wife Kris K. Becker of Mauston, WI; mother Ellen Becker of Cottage Grove, WI; daughter Katie Jo Becker (Joaquin Monjarez II), granddaughter Francesca Monjarez Madison WI, two step sons Cody and Joshua Degner, brother Dennis (Jeanette) Becker Deerfield WI, sisters Kim (Jeff) Bonjean Madison WI, Linda (Bill) Ammann Madison WI,many nephews, nieces, friends and his two puppies, Crosby and Baxter. He was preceded in death by his father Orville, grandparents; Olga and Edward Becker, Ellen May and Joseph Famoso and nephew Adam Becker. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, 4058 Lien Road, Madison, WI. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Larry Sexe of Deerfield Lutheran Church will be officiating.
