William A. Barney

William A. Barney, age 66 of Eau Claire, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Luther Hospital. He was born January 31, 1942 in Eau Claire, WI to James and Helen (nee Tompkins) Barney. Survivors include a sister Phyllis (Thomas) Huls of Allen Park, MI; and a sister-in-law: Janet Barney of Black River Falls, WI. Further survived by neices, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Patrick Barney and Fr. James A. Barney. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 29, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 2502 11th Street. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, December 28, 2008 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Plombon’s All Faiths Funeral & Cremation Service, 1405 N. Clairmont Ave., Eau Claire with a 7:00 PM Vigil Service, and again on Monday, at the church, from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
