PARDEEVILLE/MONONA – Wesley W. Ferris, age 82 of Monona, and formerly of Pardeeville, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2008, at the Don & Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. He was born December 10, 1925 in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario the son of Albert and Minnie (St. Martin) Ferris. He married Anna Treige July 17, 1948 in Toronto, Ontario. They would later relocate to Wisconsin, where they raised their six children. He excelled as an award winning agent and manager for Metropolitan Life for over 20 years. Following his retirement in 1985, Wes and Anna relocated to Rhinelander where they built their dream log home on Hilderbrand Lake. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, hockey, camping, reading and the Green Bay Packers. At the end of Wesley’s life he inspired others with his humor and kindness in the face of great challenges. He was very devoted to his children and grandchildren. He is survived by six children, Judy (Michael Mullarkey), Boone, NC, Brian (Deb Kristapovich), of West Salem, Bruce, of Pardeeville, Anita, of Marshall, Michelle, of Marshall, and Yvette, of Monona; five grandchildren, Andrea, Elizabeth, Michael, Katie and Hannah; and many nieces, nephews and extended family, whose visits he greatly enjoyed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna in 2005; his parents; two brothers and a sister. A celebration of Wes’s life will be held at the LUSSIER FAMILY HERITAGE CENTER, on Sunday, September 28, 2008 from 12 noon until 4 p.m. with a service beginning at 1 p.m. Please dress casually and bring a story to tell. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for macular degeneration.
