JANESVILLE – Wayne R. Cole, age 66 passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013 surrounded by family and friends at the Agrace HospiceCare Center in Madison. He was born August 29, 1946 in Madison, the son of George and Evelyn (Mueller) Cole. He was raised on the family farm in Black Earth, where he had many great memories. Following graduation from Madison East High School, Wayne entered the U.S. Navy. Shortly after his service in the Navy, he began a 33 year career at GM. Wayne married Ann BonoAnno in Madison on April 19, 1969. Together, they had two sons, Craig and Scott. Wayne enjoyed riding his motorcycle and trips with Karen and Orville, building his model train set with his grandson Kyle, and fishing, but most of all, spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Ann; two sons, Craig (Kim) Cole and Scott (Christy) Cole, all of Janesville; six grandchildren, Kyle (Samantha), Seth, Jordan, Dawson, Celena and Justin; three sisters, Janice (Glenn) Lokken of Stoughton, Karen (Orville) Ames of McFarland and Laura (Keith) Kissinger of Algoma; dear friends, Lauri Kissinger and Shawn and Helen Schemehorn, and his best friend, Terry Peterson; along with many other friends, nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Raymond; and nephews, Luke Lokken and Darren Ames. A Celebration of Wayne’s life will be held at VILLAGE LANES, 208 Owen Rd., Monona on Saturday, April 13, 2013 beginning at 1 p.m. Private family burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens in Madison. The family would like to thank the staff at Agrace HospiceCare and Pastor Pete Scheller for all the things they did for Wayne and his family. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Wayne’s name to Agrace HospiceCare, 5395 E. Cheryl Pkwy., Madison, WI 53711.
