Walter Jr. Keiner

SUN PRAIRIE – Walter (“Jr., Walt, Wallie”) Keiner, Jr., age 65, was called home on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 after a year long battle with cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife/friend Nola (Helgeson) Keiner; daughters, Toni (Andy) Bogdon, Kimberlie (Jack) Neefe, Tammy (Todd) Belz, and Terri (Jon) Maly; a son Ryan Koehn; eight grandsons; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; two great-granddaughters; and another due in October. He is further survived by a sister, Jeanette (Earl) Mabis; sisters-in-law, Jean (David) Moe, Beth (Joe) Manning, Frances Helgeson and other extended family and friends. Jr was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Helen (Paar) Keiner, Sr.; a sister Marcella (Butch) Stark; a brother, Marvin Keiner; brother-in-law, Howard Helgeson; and his former wife, Fran (Herrick) Keiner. A very special heartfelt thank you to the beautiful people at HospiceCare, Inc. With your care and help, Jr got his wish to stay at home. A memorial service will be held at PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 323 Windsor St., Sun Prairie on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Jr’s name to HospiceCare, Inc. or cancer research.
