Virginia Ann Costello

COTTAGE GROVE - Born on Jan. 3, 1965, Virginia "Ginny" or "Vinnie" Ann Costello passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, after a long battle with her health. Ginny will be dearly missed by her loving family, friends, and colleagues. She grew up in Neenah, graduating with high honors. She enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and graduated with a nursing degree. She then continued her higher education to become a wonderful nurse practitioner, touching many lives. Her passion and her life-long dream were to help the disadvantaged. She went to Ecuador and helped others with her outstanding skills. She loved her son Samual with all of her heart and soul. She loved to bike, roller blade, and of course dance. She was an exquisite artist with many hidden talents. She is survived by her son, Samual Costello; her parents, Nancy and Charles Costello; sister, Teressa (Jim) Lawless; brother, Tim (Angela) Costello; sister, Kristina (Kevin) Harness; brother, Dan (Stephanie) Costello; brother, Matt (Stephanie) Costello; and her lifelong best friend, Brenda Castillo. Funeral services will be held at OLBRICH BOTANICAL GARDENS, 3330 Atwood Ave., on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Craig Robertson of New Crossing Church of Madison officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the gardens. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established to assist with services.
