Viola M. Jorgensen

Viola M. Jorgensen, age 82, passed away Monday, March 17, 2008 in Eau Claire. She was born June 4, 1925 in Eau Claire, WI to Charles and Rose (nee Fritz) Hess. On September 7, 1940, she married Herman C. Jorgensen and he preceded her in death on October 14, 1994. In addition to raising her family, she had been employed in housekeeping at M.B. Syverson Home until her retirement in 1990. Viola was an avid bingo player who could always find a game. She will be fondly remembered by those who knew her. Survivors include three daughters: Ronda Swansen of Eau Claire, WI, Cindy (Doug) Gebhard of Baraboo, WI, and Kristi (Jeff) Schumacher of Fall Creek, WI; four grandchildren: Robyn (Nate) Smithson of Eagle Lake, MN, Ryan (Erika) Swansen of Chippewa Falls, WI, Jessica (Andy) Strauch of Eau Claire, WI, Amanda (Luke) Barden of Chippewa Falls, WI; three great-grandchiuldren: Jana Swansen, Faith and Lucas Barden all of Chippewa Falls, WI; a brother: Roger Hess of Green Bay, WI; and a sister: Helen Sippel of Chippewa Falls, WI. Further survived by other relatives and friends. She is preceded by husband, parents, a sister, Mabel and a great-granddaughter, Drew Barden.
