Vera Dell Savoie

Janesville - Vera Dell Savoie was born to Fred Paul and Lola Paul on 12/01/1920. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, two brothers, Myron Paul, and Fred (Buddy) Paul, her son Michael Todd Savoie, and her husband Leo Paul Savoie. Vera’s dad, a much respected high school math teacher, died when she was 10 years old. Vera was raised by her widowed mother who was a woman of very strong faith in God and strong in her character. Vera played the cello and had scholarship opportunities to go to college but decided to go in a different direction. Vera became a home maker with her husband of 70 years Leo Savoie. She worked very hard to have a solid Christian home. Vera asked her mom to come live with her and her family so she could take care of her. Vera’s mom moved from Beaumont to Houston and lived with Vera and her family till God called her to be with Him. Though money was always tight Vera sent her children to Christian schools. Vera and family lived in Beaumont Texas, Houston Texas, Livingston Texas, and Janesville Wisconsin. Vera is survived by daughter Shirley Savoie, and son Fred Savoie, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. We will all miss you Mom
