Trudy E. Schulner, age 68 of Eau Claire, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Dove Healthcare. She was born April 8, 1939 in Czechloslavakia to Franz and Erna (nee Bohn) Wettengel. During WWII, she used the Underground Railroad and fled to West Germany. She met her future husband, Gary, while he was stationed with the U.S. Air Force. 'They married on July 11, 1958 in Giebelstadt, West Germany and then moved to Eau Claire in 1960. After gaining U.S. Citizenship, she went to work at the Courtesy Counter at Consumers Co-op. In 1995, she retired after many years of service as a Head Teller for Royal Credit Union. Trudy is survived by her husband, Gary of Eau Claire, WI; a daughter, Diane (Kevin) Willer of Eau Claire, WI; three sons: Mike (Shelly) of New Auburn, WI, Craig (Michelle) of Eau Claire, WI and Rick (Sherri) of Eau Claire, WI; eight grandchildren: Matthew and Brianna Willer, Tanner, Jayme, Kaleb, Samantha, Travis and Heather Schulner; two brothers: Seigbert and Klaus Bohn of Germany; and a sister: Linda Robbins of IN. Further survived by other relatives, friends and her loving companion, Eddie. She is preceded by by her parents and two brothers, Emil Bohn and Walter Wettengel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00, Monday, October 1, 2007 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 648 Dewey Street. Friends may call from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, September 30, 2007 at All Faiths Funeral & Cremation Service, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire, WI 54703 (there will be no visitation Mon. at the church). Interment in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery.
