Timothy M. Tucker

COTTAGE GROVE - Devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Timothy Mc Gregor Tucker, 67, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 27, 2022, with his family by his side. Tim was born Dec. 5, 1954, in Portage, WI to Thomas and Peggy Tucker. Tim loved being with his family and being around his best friend, his dog, Bella. Tim enjoyed music, cooking, writing, and the outdoors. He had a passion for sports. People will remember him for his infectious personality and kind heart; Tim would have described himself using the word gregarious. He graduated from Madison College with an IT degree. He ran a successful business, Bytesize Solutions, for 27 years. Tim married the love of his life, Diana Vernig, on Aug. 25, 1979. Tim and Diane genuinely enjoyed life together. They raised two children, Natasha (Stephen) Jones, and Behren (Tonia) Tucker. They were blessed with six grandchildren, Shae, Liam, and Finley Tucker, and Emberly, Charlotte, and Haven Jones. He is survived by his father, Thomas Tucker; siblings, Tracey (Jerry) Lust, and Tom (Kathy) Tucker; in-laws, Judy (Mike) Pitzo, Linda (Bill) Wangerin, and Ralph Jr. (Vicki) Vernig; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Peg; and his brother, Terry. A Celebration of Tim’s Life will be held from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2022, at OLBRICH BOTANICAL GARDENS, 3330 Atwood Ave., Madison, with a service beginning at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to any cancer research or treatment center.
