Timothy C. Phelan

MADISON Timothy C. Phelan, age 66, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, May 18, 2015. He was born on Aug. 6, 1948 in Lancaster, Penn., the son of John and Betty (Myers) Phelan. Tim was a proud and hardworking sheet metal worker for many years. He loved to fire-up the grill no matter what time of day or time of year. He enjoyed all Wisconsin sports, including the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. He liked listening to his tunes, conversing with others and playing a good game of pool. Tim was also an animal lover, liked watching the news and weather, and was a history buff. Tim is survived by his children, Diana (Jeremy) Herschleb, Kelsey, Patrick and Sarah Phelan, all of Madison; grandchildren, Gavin Herschleb and Ahna Phelan; former wife, Ruth Phelan; sisters, Patricia of Lancaster, Penn, Kathleen of Chicago, Ill., and Janet of Austin, Texas; and several nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved cat, Ben. A celebration of Tims life will be held later this summer.
