MADISON - Terri Firehawk, (formerly Teresa Seitler), age 58, of Madison, Wis., left her body and released her energy back into the universe on Sunday, March 13, 2016, surrounded by family and friends. Terri was born Nov. 15, 1958 to Carole Snodderly. She graduated from Union City High School in 1976. Terri loved to go on road trips and saw much of the U.S. She had a knack for searching out obscure restaurants in the middle of nowhere that served the most amazing food. She enjoyed the outdoors; camping, fishing and walking in the woods. She leaves behind many delicious recipes, wood carvings and walking sticks. Terri has two sons, who have grown to be fine men. She regrets that she was young and unable to be the mother to Frank that he deserved. Shes grateful to her family for being there for him. Shes sorry she wont be around to see Thomas make all his dreams come true, but cherished the time they had to go on adventures, explore, and all she learned from him. Terri was full of love and laughter, and always gave more than she had. She touched many lives, all of which are better for having known her, which was apparent by the number of people holding vigil at her bedside. She had many heart children that she claimed along life's path; Kaleb, Cheldyn, Kassidy, Haddi, Sam, and too many more to name. Terri is survived by her loving partner, Cheryl Catenacci; her mother, Carole Snodderly of Athens, Mich.; her brothers, Bob (Cathy) Shepard of Amarillo, Texas and Mike (Angie) Shepard of Wynn, Ark.; her sister, Angie (J) Marden of Athens, Mich.; her sons, Frank (Angie) Seitler of Brooklyn, Wis., Thomas Catenacci of Madison, Wis.; her grandchildren, Emily and Alex; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Terri and Cheryl had nearly 23 years of love and inappropriate humor, travels and adventure, and for her devotion to Terris needs at this crossroad. Terri would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Carbone Cancer Center, UW and Meriter Hospitals for their hardwork and dedication. She would also like to thank Agrace HospiceCare for helping her and her family through her transition. A special thanks to Madeline for staying awake all night and watching over Terri, while the family could get some sleep, and for keeping the snakes away from Terri. Terri constantly quoted Dr. Sidney Freeman, of MASH, Sometimes you have to pull down your pants and slide on the ice! Her family believes that is how Terri tried to live her life. Terri has requested that there be no services and hopes that no one grieves for her. She wants to be remembered with a smile, a song, and a kind remembrance. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Breast Cancer Research Foundation, www.bcrfcure.org; Inflammatory Breast Cancer Research, www.ibcresearch.org; or her family to offset the financial burden.
