HIDALGO, MEXICO/JANESVILLE - Tami Lynn Kasten Wright, of Janesville, Wis., shopping enthusiast, dog lover and avid rock climber, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016 at her home in Hidalgo, Mexico. She was born on Oct. 7, 1960 in Janesville, Wis.; to Eugene Kasten and Carol Adamany Kasten. She and her late husband, whom she met on the cliffs of Devils Lake, Wis., established residency in Mexico where they were well known in the rock climbing community from people around the world. They also had a home in Janesville, where they would spend a few warm months out of the year, visiting with her family and friends. She was loved by many for her great sense of humor and her very giving nature. Tami loved to shop and often redecorated her homes with her unique finds. She had a very giving spirit and found pleasure in buying for others. Tami and Ed took pride in their accomplishments while in Hidalgo, Mexico, including rescuing many stray dogs and getting them the medical attention they needed while finding them permanent homes. Tami is survived by her parents, Carol Adamany Broadbent and Eugene (Sherry) Kasten of Janesville,Wis.; siblings, Teri (Mike) Dobson of Milton, Wis., Mark (Joyce) Stricklin of Janesville, Wis., Kyle (Lori) Kasten of Janesville, and Stacey (Troy) Koenig of LaCrosse, Wis. She is also survived by her sons, Shane, Jesse, Joshua, Sam and Cory Wright; daughter, Shelby (Curt) Lemke; along with her grandchildren and a special niece, Danelle Kenney. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wright; two sons, Ryan Wright and Keith Soerfass; her grandparents, Clarence and Mary Kasten, Evelyn Adamany Moreland and William Adamany.
