Susan J. Lea

JANESVILLE/COTTAGE GROVE - Susan J. Lea, age 50, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 while vacationing in Georgia with her good friend Cathy Frosch-Hellenbrand. She was born June 16, 1962 in Janesville, the daughter of Glenn and Jane (Cox) Lea. She attended Milton High School. Susan was a very caring person, she often looked out for others before herself. For the last three years she put her life on hold to help care for her sister-in-law Nancy. She loved to cook and bake. Susan is survived by her father, Glenn (Elnore) Lea of Janesville; two sisters, Cathy (Mike) Cruise and Ann (Brian) Welsh; three brothers, Steve, Marc (Nancy) and Jim (Amy) Lea; nephews, Marcus Buss, Bret Welsh and Nolan Frederick; nieces, Jenni (Phil) Buss, Amanda and Taylor Lea, and Sydney Welsh; great nephew, Ari Buss; special uncle, Donald Lea; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jane Lea; aunt, Minerva Lea; and cousin Robert Moen. A celebration of Susan’s life will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1618 E. Racine St., Janesville on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held at the the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Susan’s name to the Rock County Cancer Coalition. A special thank you to the Oncology Clinic at Mercy Hospital, especially Molly, for the loving care they gave Susan.
