Steven Simonson

Janesville-Steven A. Simonson, age 54 passed away Monday, December 13, 2010 at his home following a long battle with colon cancer. He was born June 10, 1956 in Elkhorn, WI. To Sanford and Mazie (Glover) Simonson. On September 18, 1981 he married Deanna Kramer. They had two sons, Joshua and Sean. On October 25, 1997 he married Tiffany Winters. They had one daughter Rebecca and one son Ryan. Before becoming disabled he enjoyed being a social worker. Steve had a strong voice and was an advocate for the homeless in Rock County. Steve will be fondly remembered for his love of shooting pool, playing golf and spending time with his family and loved ones. Steven is survived by children, Joshua (Sarah) Simonson of Janesville, WI; Sean ( Chris) Simonson of Janesville, WI; Rebecca Simonson and Ryan Simonson both at home in Beloit. Two grandchildren, Shea and Caleigh Simonson at home in Janesville. Brothers Donald (Mary) Simonson of Adams Friendship, WI; Jerry Simonson of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; many nieces, nephews, cousins and his special grandpuppy Mazie. He is preceded in death by his parents and his big sister Debbie. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at All Faiths Funeral Home 1618 E. Racine St. Janesville.
