Stanley R. Slawnikowski

MILTON - Stanley R. Slawnikowski, age 74, passed away Friday, Nov. 19, 2010. He was born May 8, 1936 in Chicago, the son of Frank and Alice (Modrowski) Slawnikowski. He graduated from CVS High School in Chicago. Stan retired Jan. 1, 1987 from ACME Steel. He then moved to Wisconsin, where he married Patricia August on Sept. 5, 1987. Stan was an avid gardener, often giving away many of the things he grew to family, friends and the community. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Milton. Stanley is survived by his wife Patricia M. August-Slawnikowski, Milton; three step-sons, Edward (Jill Chapman) August, of Eau Claire, James August, of Chicago and Robert (Samantha) August, of Janesville; five grandchildren, Sarah (Nathan) Stafford, Jeffrey August, Allison August, Tyler August, and Carter Chapman; six brothers; one sister; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Milton at 12 noon with Msgr. James Uppena officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Milton. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
