MADISON – Sherry L. Swanton, age 58 of Madison, passed away unexpectedly from heart complications on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at UW Hospital in Madison. She was born in Madison on Oct. 26, 1962, the daughter of Duwayne and Sharon (Krueger) Pivett. Sharon later married Pete Fedele and he raised Sherry as one of his own. Following graduation from Madison La Follette High School, class of 1980, Sherry attended Waukesha Community Tech College where she received her degree in Early Childhood Development. Sherry married Todd Swanton on May 22, 1992, and together they had a son, Josh. She loved crafting and making people laugh, but above all, she loved spending time with family and friends. She was also a critical member of the S & K Auto, Lawncare, Landscaping & Snowplowing family over the last 14 years. Sherry is survived by her husband, Todd; a son, Josh; her dad, Pete Fedele, Sr.; a sister, Nikki (Ray) Stanzel; brothers, Sam (Bea) Fedele and Pete (Nikki) Fedele, Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sharon and Duwayne; a brother, Scott Pivett; and a sister, Diane Holden. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the UNITED PENTECOSTAL CHURCH OF STOUGHTON, 1501 E. Main St., Stoughton, with Rev. Richard Thomas officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family.
