MONTELLO - Sharon “Sherry” Selbach, 67, passed away July 13, 2013, at Tivoli Nursing Home with friends and family by her side after a short, brave fight with cancer. Sherry was born Nov. 16,1945, in Blanchardville, to Esther and Howard Hermanson. Sharon loved her family and friends, especially her long time companion, Bill Kempley. She enjoyed being involved with her children and grandchildren’s lives and having coffee in the mornings with her friend, Phyllis. Sherry loved socializing with her many friends, playing cards, Bingo, cooking, garage sales, traveling, working in her yard and garden, and watching birds and wildlife all year long. Sharon was employed by Petro Travel Plaza for over 20 years. She considered the employees her second family, and was thankful for their care and concern even after she retired. Two children, Lori Schneider and Shane Wilson; four grandchildren, Colin Schneider, Miranda Schneider, Trey Wilson and Mitchell Lang; two step children, Cheryl and Butch Selbach; and nine step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren survive her. Her parents, Esther and Howard Hermanson; two siblings, Floyd and Janice Hermanson; daughter, Rahna Wescott; and two step daughters, Bonnie and Cindy Selbach, preceded her in death. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Moundville United Methodist Church, County O, Endeavor. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Julie Wilson will officiate. There will be a private burial of ashes at a future time. The family would like to thank everyone who helped make her last days special. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Budda Box.
