MADISON - Sharon Suzanne (Aldrich) Locke joined her beloved husband, William, and daughter, Susan, on Dec. 12, 2016 under the care of Agrace HospiceCare and Badger Prairie Health Care Center. Sharon was born on Feb. 13, 1934, to Adelaide and Edwin Aldrich. She graduated from Central High School in Madison and married her high school sweetheart, William Locke on June 7, 1952. Family followed quickly and Sharon stayed home until her youngest went to school full time. She then joined the workforce. Her final job until retirement was with Dictaphone Corporation. Sharon was a mother lioness when it came to her children, an advocate, mentor and encourager. That fierce protective nature gave her the strength to care for William, in their home, for 18 years after he suffered a stroke. She treasured participating in family milestones, weddings, and the birth of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Through the years Sharon was blessed with wonderful co-workers, caring neighbors, supportive friends especially Carol Brandt, and in the final months, outstanding staffs at Agrace HospiceCare and Badger Prairie Health Center. Sharons favorite times were family times, fishing on the barge, a summer week at Oxbow, Badger and Packer games, phone bantering, and lots of laughter in the precious little house on Steinies Drive that she and William called home for 60 years. Sharon is survived by a daughter, Lexy (Mark) Maas; sons, Mike, Gary (Nancy), and Tom (Angel); a son-in-law, Dartt Thompson; grandsons, Ben (Anna) Maas, Jordan (Kristen) Maas, and Michael (Anna) Maas, Sam Locke, Kristopher (Sara) Simons, Chad (Valerie) Sloniker; granddaughters, Taylor Thompson and Caitlin (Josh) Rymer, Kathryn (Jeremy) Cadwallader; great-grandsons, Chase, Preston, Dalton, Carter, William Maas, and Reece Cadawallader; great-granddaughters, Kylie Sloniker and Dakota Sloniker, Maggie and Emma Maas, Gabriella Cadwallader, and Kimberly Simons; sister, Mary Stumpf; brothers, William (Helen) Aldrich, Tom (Susan) Aldrich, and Jim (Debbie) Aldrich; and many nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Adelaide and Edwin; her husband, William; and her daughter, Susan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST.
