Scott M. Hanaway

MADISON – Scott Michael Hanaway, age 64, of Madison passed away on June 23, 2023, at the Veterans Hospital in Madison, after a battle with brain cancer. Scott was born on May 14, 1959, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was the son of Jim Hanaway and Bev Hornburg.

Scott is survived by his brother, John (Laura) Hanaway; his sister, Julie (Jim) Ott; stepfather, Elmer Hornburg; nephews, David Hanaway and Jacob (Alyssa) Ott; nieces, Faith Hanaway and Holly Ott; and his grandnieces, Quinn Ott and Nala Ott. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Scott’s life will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at EAST SIDE ALANO CLUB, 1017 Northport Drive, Madison. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Narcotics Anonymous and The American Brain Cancer Society.
