MADISON – Sarah B. Fischer, 99, passed away peacefully at Oregon Manor on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2019. Sarah was born in Pennsylvania on April 4, 1920, the daughter of Rudy and Anna Satonica.
Sarah was a Class A horseshoe pitcher, a champion apple picker, and a devoted mother and grandmother. Sarah was a longtime member of the Madison Community Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Sarah is survived by her brother, Samuel Satonica; her son, Mike Jellots; a daughter, Marlene Daugherty; grandchildren, Darrin Adams, Deborah Koston, Steve (Barb) Koston, William Koston, Jr., Marcie (Mike) Kehler, and Mark Adams; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; several siblings; two daughters, Josephine Humphrey and Pauline Jellots; and one great-grandchild, Matthew Adams.
A memorial service will be held at the MADISON COMMUNITY SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH, 1926 Elka Lane, Madison on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019 beginning at 4 p.m. A light supper will follow the service.
