Sandra L. Payne

MADISON – Sandra “Sandy” Payne passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022. She was born on Oct. 24, 1965. Sandy graduated from DeForest High School and MATC Legal Program. She worked for various law firms, the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, and the Dane County District Attorney’s Office. Sandy enjoyed shopping, watching television, and spending time with her friends and family. She was a loving mother to her children and aunt to her nephews. Sandy is survived by her mother, Lee Ann Rohde of Sun Prairie; children, Breanna Payne of Madison, and Braden Payne of Middleton; brother, Jeff (Sonia) Rohde of DeForest; nephews, Henry and Harry Rohde of DeForest; aunts, Marilyn Hellenbrand of Marshall, Janet (Gary) Buzzell of Beaver Dam, and Dorothy Rohde of Milwaukee; and an uncle, Cal Wilson of Wild Rose. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Rohde; sister, Jennifer Rohde; and her grandparents. A Celebration of Sandy’s Life will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the SUN PRAIRIE VFW POST #9362, 349 S. Walker Way, Sun Prairie.
