Sandra K. Griffin

CHANDLER, AZ/MADISON – Sandra K. Griffin, age 58 of Chandler, AZ and formerly of Madison, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013 following a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was born Jan. 6, 1955 in Madison, the daughter of Robert and Alice (Hohlstein) Pete. The most important thing to Sandy were her grandkids and other family members. In her spare time you could always find her near a slot machine. Sandy is survived by her children, Camron (Leslie Weber) Pete of Madison and Sanetta (Matthew) Roberts of Chandler, AZ; 10 grandchildren, Camron, Jr., Marcus, Cheyenne, Aleeyia and Peyton Pete, Cody Dams, Chris Stroede and Jasmyne, Jordyn and Josslyn Roberts; brothers, David (Shirley) Pete of Madison and Donald (Chris) Pete of Machesney Park, IL; sisters, Kaye (Gordon) Brickner, of Cottage Grove, Cyndi (Pete) Welbourne of Lake Mills and Sue Savoy of Madison; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Pete; mother, Alice Verdon and a sister, Vicki Pete-Meyer. A memorial service will be held at TURNER HALL, 3001 S. Stoughton Rd., Madison, on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 beginning at 4 p.m. with a luncheon and celebration of life will immediately follow. Visitation will be at TURNER HALL from 3 p.m. until the time of service. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the UW Carbone Cancer Center and Agrace HospiceCare for the amazing care given to Sandy and her family.
