Samuel Franklin Stuart

Samuel Franklin Stuart, 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, in Madison, Wisconsin. Sam "Sambo" was born on August 8, 1935, in Dexter, New Mexico to Joner Green Stuart and Mary Carolyn Langham. Sam's passions in life were working on cars, fishing, reading, and spending time with family. Sam is survived by many who mourn his passing, including his sweetheart, Marilyn Jane (Spangler) Stuart, whom he was married to for 41 years; seven children, Mary Catherine Stuart, Vernice (Dan) Brandon, Denice Leffel, Stephanie (Matt) Muntean, Misty (Chris) McMorrow, Robert (Brenda) Turner, and James (Jean) Turner; and sister, Ruth Ellen Hartwell. He also had many wonderful memories with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins and other close family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joner Green and Mary Carolyn Stuart; his daughter, Sandy Brooke; and his siblings, Dessie Willard Stewart, Delia Mae Stuart (Campton), Alta Irene Stuart, Jesse Lee Stuart, Verna Jean Stuart (Robertson), and Wanda Evelyn Stuart (Phillips). Sam's wishes were to be cremated and kept with his family or spread out along the Yuba River in California. A Celebration of Life event is tentatively scheduled for June 2020 in Wisconsin.
