Samantha Ann Hager

JANESVILLE Samantha Ann Hager, age 33, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016 following her courageous battle with cancer. She was born Nov., 26, 1982 in Janesville, to Jim and Kathleen (Balas) Hager. Sam attended school in Janesville, graduating from Parker High School in 2001. She enjoyed playing video games and developed many on-line friends through those games. She made various kinds of crafts, as well as knitted and crocheted. Sam wrote poetry and was very loyal to keeping up her journal. Sam loved looking up at the stars and now lives among them. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, her boyfriend and especially her nephew, Ryan. Samantha is survived by her parents; two brothers, John Hager, of Beloit and Jason Hager of Janesville; her boyfriend, Jarid Shallenberger of Janesville; and her nephew, Ryan. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, friends and relatives, as well as the family dog, Lady (who adored her). She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her brother Justin Hager. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm., Friday, Aug. 5, 2016 at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, 1618 E. Racine St., Janesville. A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until the time of service at the chapel.
