MADISON / WINDSOR - Ruth L. Lenzendorf age 91, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at the Agrace HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg, Wis., surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 2, 1924, the daughter of Hermie and Mildred (Heal) Stevenson in rural Gays Mills, Wis. On Nov. 9, 1946, she married Lyle Lenzendorf at the Eastman United Methodist Church. Ruth worked for over twenty years for the State of Wisconsin. She was an active member of the Monona United Methodist Church. Although she was a somewhat reluctant traveler, she enjoyed spending time with her family immensely. She also enjoyed reading, baking and canning. Ruth is survived by her two sons Ronnie Lenzendorf, of Windsor Wis. and Lonnie (Bonnie) Lenzendorf of Deforest, Wis.; three grandchildren, Robert (Angela) Lenzendorf of Deforest,Wis., Tamera Lenzendorf of Columbus, Wis., and Michael (Tessa) Lenzendorf of Madison Wis.; three great-granddaughters, Mariah, Ellie, and Raelynn Lenzendorf, all at home; two sisters, Mildred Thomas of Century City Calif. and Joyce (Edward) Clapp of Madison, Wis.; one brother, Stanley (Mary) Stevenson of Gays Mills, Wis.; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday May 19, 2016, at the MONONA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 606 Nichols Road. Monona, Wis. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services. A memorial fund is being established in memory of Ruth.
