Ruth E. Hagman, age 85 of Chippewa Falls, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2007. She was born July 9, 1922 in Black River Falls, WI to Adolph and Mary ( nee Rustin) Lien. In 1940, she graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School. On September 9, 1942, she married Robert R. Hagman and from this union, were born seven children. Over the years, Ruth worked in the hospitality area at many clubs in Eau Claire. She loved to play Smear and Cribbage with her friends and hunt and fish with her husband. While hunting with Bob in 1953, she shot an 8 point buck. Her other passion was golf, where she scored three “holes-in one”, two at Hallie Golf Course and the other at Ojibwa. An avid bowler, she played on Wagner’s Bowling Leagues and Softball Leagues. While living in Cumberland, she was active in the Cumberland and Luck Golf Leagues. Ruth was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 305 Women’s Auxillary and the Eagles Club of Chippewa Falls. Survivors include seven children: Robert (Ruth) Hagman of Eau Claire, Nancy (Gordon) Bruss of Eau Claire, Jean Leskinen of Bradenton, FL, Barbara Insteness of Chippewa Falls, JoAnne Heuer of Fairchild, Kathy Arneson of Chippewa Falls and Henry Hagman of Arbor Vitae,WI; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Further survived by other relatives and friends. She is preceded by her husband, Robert, a granddaughter, Dana Heuer, a great-granddaughter, Kayla Bruss and her parents. Friends may call on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 from 5:00 to 7:45 PM at All Faiths Funeral & Cremation Service, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire. At 7:45 PM, a brief service will be held.
