Ruth A. Saley

MADISON - Ruth A. Saley, age 74, of Madison, died on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, at her home surrounded by family, friends and caregivers. She was born June 10, 1932, in Madison, the daughter of George and Thelda (Thompson) Steinle, who preceded her in death. She leaves behind her five children, David (Corina) Saley of Poynette, Steven (Debbie) Saley of Fitchburg, Beth (Dave) Sweeney of Madison, Susan (Bill) Konkol of Parrish, Fla. and John (Theresa) Saley of Fitchburg; her 10 beloved grandchildren who will miss their "Grandma Cheeto," Katlyn and Alisha Saley, Sari and Nick Saley, Jonathan and Jennifer Sweeney, Jackie and Mary Saley and Matthew and Michael Konkol; a sister, Margaret Pfutzenreuter; and special caregivers, Tonja Dykes and Roxana Reitz. She was a lifelong member of Parkside Presbyterian Church, a graduate of Madison East High School and UW-Madison, a teacher and was employed by American Family Insurance for many years. She lived her life fully with Multiple Sclerosis which reduced her physical abilities each day, but her mind remained sharp up to the end. A celebration of her life will be held at PARKSIDE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 4002 Lien Road, Madison, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007.
