Braxton, Ruby Jean MADISON - Mrs. Ruby Jean Braxton, age 88, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2006, at home, with family and loved ones by her side. She was born March 1, 1918, in Memphis, Tenn., the daughter of Roxie Parker and Newt Carr. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was baptized in 1958. She is survived by two beautiful daughters, Carolyn Chrisco of Fitchburg and Doris (Christopher) Forte of Highland Village, Texas; two step-daughters, Beatrice Chatman of Madison and Jeanette (Andrew Kirk Jones) Braxton Secret of Vallejo, Calif. and St. Petersburg, Fla. She is also survived by her four sisters, Mattie McCoy, Augustine Redeemar, Shirley McRee and Yvonne McCree, all of Memphis, Tenn.; a special sister-in-law, Teolar Harris; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Rosie Mave Niter; sisters, Zorrine Lowe and Freddie McCoy; brothers, James Duckett and Matthew Duckett; and previous husband, James Braxton. Funeral services will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Rd., on Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at 11 a.m. with burial following at Roselawn Memorial Park, Monona.
