Royce D. Howell

STOUGHTON Royce D. Howell, age 75, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife and daughters. Royce was born Nov. 5, 1941, in Mount Ida, Wis., to Harry and Lova Howell. He soon found his soulmate and love of his life, Charmaine Lohr. They were married on May 11, 1960 and had five beautiful daughters, Tracy (Robert), Kelly, Toni (Rick), Staci and Jamie. Royce loved fishing and hunting, but most of all he looked forward to the family vacations they took every year to Long Johns Resort in Phillips, Wis. Royce worked at 4 Lakes Drywall and then as a machinist for many years at Datex Ohmeda. Royce was lovingly welcomed home by his parents, Harry and Lova; his two favorite brothers-in-law, Denny and Frank; and many more family and friends. Royce was an amazing grandfather to many grandchildren, Jenny, Jessie, Matt, Lacy, Chad, Lonye, Mason and Tyler; four great-grandchildren and one on the way. He was also a loving brother to Dick, Vianne and Sharon. The family would like to thank Care Wisconsin, Heartland Hospice, Stoughton EMS and Dr. Musas office for the amazing care Royce was given. At his request, there will be no service. A piece of our hearts left with him and words cannot express how much we will miss him. He is forever in our souls.
