Roxanne Lee Karsten Cooley

MADISON - Roxanne Lee Cooley of Sun Prairie, Wis., born Roxanne Lee Karsten, passed away on October 3, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on January 5, 1976, to parents Deborah Karsten and Lawrence Furlo. She spent many of her remaining years with longtime partner William Taylor by her side.

Roxanne enjoyed spending time with friends, taking care of her cat Milo, and cleaning her home, particularly vacuuming. She enjoyed the little things in life, like butterflies and flowers. Her greatest source of pride and love was for her three children, Austin, Denae and Jaden.

Roxanne is survived by her children, Austin Sindin, Danae Renneker, and Jaden Collier.

She is preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Furlo, and her mother, Deborah Karsten Rice, as well as her long-time friend and roommate, Jacob Jacobson.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at MIDDLETON COMMUNITY UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 645 Schewe Rd, Middleton. Visitation will start at 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m., with burial of the ashes to follow. In leu of flowers, please make any donations to Middleton United Church of Christ Community Fund.
