Rosann Motisi

MADISON - Rosann Motisi, age 61, of Madison, lost her battle with lung cancer on Feb. 22, 2016, in her home. She was an amazing sister, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed her last days and minutes with her dear family that meant everything to her. Rosie always enjoyed watching the success of both of her children, Jake and Samantha. Over the past 18 months she had the pure joy of becoming a Gramma and watching Denzel Jaidan play with her and enjoy quality time. Her hobbies included biking, participating in numerous MS Bike Rides, cooking Italian food, baking Christmas sugar cookies, kayaking, playing cards, enjoying Badger games, and spending her time with great family and friends. Rosie is survived by her children Jake (Kelly) Landphier and Samantha (VenkAt) Thangaraj; sisters, Sara (Mike) Motisi-Olah and Toni Paskey; grandson, Denzel Jaidan Thangaraj; as well as many dear extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Elaine (Helgesen) Motisi. Her family will be having a Celebration of Her Life at AGRACE HOSPICECARE, 5395 E Cheryl Parkway, Madison on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016 beginning at 1 p.m. with refreshments to follow. Her hope throughout her battle was to help others not to have to suffer the way in which she suffered by giving back any way she could. Rosie was more worried about those she would leave behind than herself. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Toby Campbell, his nurse Stephanie, and the other staff at the Carbone Cancer Center for their excellent care. We would also like to thank Nicole, Sarah, Annette, Loretta, Judith, and Hannah from Agrace for their awesome and compassionate care.
