REEDSBURG Roosevelt Rosey Harden, age 80, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison. He was born April 16, 1934, in Concord, Ga., the son of Nep and Jewell Harden. Rosey grew up in Madison and served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Iowa. He married Donna Peetz on Aug. 20, 1973. Rosey worked as a chef for many area supper clubs. For several years he and Donna owned and operated Roseys Dream. He also worked for several years at Gardners Bakery. Rosey is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Phyllis Taylor of Madison; sons Matthew (Angela) of Shakopee, Minn., Daniel (MJ) of Woodbury, Minn., and Ennis of Williams Ariz.; mother-in-law, Caroline Peetz; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Corine Harden-Moody and Ann M. Harden; and brothers, Levi (Monica) Harden, Willie Gene (Armiliza) Harden and Johnnie (Linda) Harden. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Arnold; four grandchildren; and his father-in-law, Donald Peetz. A celebration of Roseys life will be held at a later date.
