Ronald L. Falkowski

EVANSVILLE, WIS. – Ronald L. Falkowski, age 70 of Evansville, Wis., passed away on Friday, July 27, 2012 at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison. He was born Dec. 13, 1941 in Rockford, Ill, the son of John and Lillian Falkowski. He married Bonnie Sypher on Jan. 16, 1965 in Rockford, Ill. Ron graduated from Rockford East High School in 1959. He served in the U.S. Navy from Oct. 1959 to Oct. 1962, much of the time aboard the U.S.S. Midway. After many years of service to Norlen, Inc. of Schofield, Wis., Ron retired as a tool and die maker. He loved fishing and riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed playing drums in a polka band as well as a praise and worship band. Ron is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bonnie; grandchildren, Darion, of Athens, Wis., and Andrew, of Wausau, Wis.; brother, Gerald (Gladys) Falkowski, of Rosemont, Minn.; sister, Clarenda “Linda” (Chuck) Hanson, of Rockford; sister-in-law, Rita Falkowski, of Mosinee; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mark; brothers, Richard and Gilbert; and nephews, Todd and Rick. A memorial service will be held at CAPITOLAND CHRISTIAN CENTER, 3651 Maple Grove Dr., Madison on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 beginning at 2 p.m. with Rev. Stephen Stauffacher officiating. Ron fought a courageous battle with multiple sclerosis, long-lasting his prognosis. Ron will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
