Ronald D. Dunn

Ronald David Dunn, 78, of Janesville, WI, formerly of Sharon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, July 17th of natural causes.

Ron was born on April 13, 1946 to Douglas Dunn and Joyce (LaFevre) Dunn Weig in Elkhorn. Ron graduated from Big Foot High School in 1964. In October of 1965, Ron survived a car accident leaving him a quadriplegic.

Ron worked at the Sharon Telephone Company for more than 30 years. In 2003 Ron met the love of his life, caregiver, fiancé, Barbara O’ Connor. Ron had an incredible sense of humor and numerous hobbies. The ultimate engineer, he created tools to overcome his disabilities. He restored multiple antique cars, pocket watches, and was very computer savvy. He was also instrumental in organizing his high school class reunions.

Ron was a member of the Brick Church in Walworth. He recorded and copied services for members that were unable to attend. Ron’s support and nursing staff were very important to him and greatly appreciated. Ron also genuinely valued his friendships.

Ron was predeceased by his parents Douglas and Joyce; sister, Ruth; fiancé, Barbara O’Connor, and Don Weig. He is survived by his twin brother, Robert; sister, Mary, and multiple nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at Brick Church on August 2nd. Visitation at 10:00, funeral at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Brick Church.
