Robert E. Jones

MADISON – Robert E. “Bob” Jones, age 88 of Madison, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the Agrace HospiceCare Inpatient Unit in Fitchburg. He was born in Orange City, Iowa, on January 19, 1937, the son of Llewelyn and Marjorie (Tye) Jones.
Bob married Clara Mae Langlois on March 17, 1962, in Chicago, Ill. He studied theology at Milliken University and Chicago Theological Seminary.
Bob is survived by his sons, Christopher and Jordan; daughter, Jana; and grandson, Payton. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Clara Mae “Bobbi” Jones.
Dad put the “you” in uniqueness. He was like a pebble in a pond…his kindness, compassion and grace touched so many lives, that in turn, touched more lives. His favorite phrase was, “Make friends with what is”. He always had a joke, positive outlook, words of wisdom and hope. “Hope is the thing with feathers, that lingers in the soul, and sings the song without the words, and never stops at all”.
