Robert James Van Aacken

PORTAGE - Robert James Van Aacken, age 55, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at University Hospital. He was born in Bittkow, Germany on July 19, 1952 and moved to the United States with his family when he was a young boy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick & Gertrude (Gronkowski) Van Aacken and his two brothers, Richard and Axel. He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Evans) Van Aacken and his two loving daughters, Lori (Mark) Povolo and Julia (Michael) Duke; his seven grandchildren, Lori, Brian, Danielle, Brittany, Joshua, Alyssa, and Adam; and his sister, Judy. He was the uncle to a host of nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his family and friends. Private family services will be held at a later date.
