Robert A. Karls

MIDDLETON - Robert Ambrose Karls, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at St. Marys Hospital, Madison. He was born on February 23, 1933, in Milwaukee, the son of Leo and Flora (Dreifuerst) Karls.

Robert moved from Sheboygan to Madison in 1967 and began working at Madison Newspapers until retirement. He loved playing cards, doing jigsaw puzzles and gardening.

Robert is survived by his wife, Audrey (Winscher) Karls; son, Paul Karls; daughter, Theresa (Karls) Juris; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Sandi Karls; grandsons, Matthew (Sarah Marquardt) Juris, and Nicholas (James Belmont and Alex Garcia) Juris; granddaughter, Jenna Karls; four great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother, and sister and brother-in-law.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE, 401 S Owen Dr, Madison, at 11:30 a.m., on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Madison.
