Rick Lavern Ringstad

MADISON – Rick LaVern Ringstad, age 51 of Madison, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, March 12, 2010. He was born in Madison on May 30, 1958, the son of LaVern and Mary Lou (Andruss) Ringstad. Rick was a hardworking, caring and loving man, who had a heart of gold. He was a very talented artist. Rick was willing to help anyone who needed it. He is survived by his two children, Tina Marie Ringstad and Ricky L. Ringstad, Jr., both of Michigan City, IN; six grandchildren that he thought the world of, Alexis Marie Ringstad, BreAnna Victoria Chappell, Shane Richard Chappell, Jr, Julia Nicole Ringstad, JoAnna Maria Ringstad, and Bryce Ladon Diaz Ringstad; a sister, Bernadine Marie (James Marks) Zimpel, of Friendship; a brother Steve Ringstad, of Madison, several nieces, nephews, and other very special relatives and friends. Rick was preceded in death by his parents; a son Ricky LaVern Ringstad; and two sisters, Vickie Lynn Warnecke and Carol Ann Stroede. Funeral services will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Rd., Madison on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at noon. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
