Richard E. Gullickson

DEFOREST Richard E. Gullickson, age 57, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014 following a battle with prostate cancer. He was born in Edgerton on Dec. 12, 1956, the son of Richard and Darlene (Schultz) Gullickson. He was a wonderful mechanic and loved working on cars. Rich would often help others when they had problems with their vehicles. He worked for several years at Alliance Trailer Service in Madison. Rich enjoyed going to garage sales, car swap meets and hunting. After he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, Rich had the time of his life when he went on a wild boar hunt with his brother and cousins. Rich loved watching all his grandchildren grow up and watching Skyler's sports development. He is survived by the love of his life, Carol Connery; children, Devin and Ashley Gullickson; step-children, Renee and Nathan Connery; grandchildren, Skyler, Malik, Parker, Noah and Isaac; his father, Richard Gullickson; his mother, Darlene (Dave) Kruckenberg; a brother, Wayne Gullickson; sisters, Patty Anderson and Benay (Paul) Ford; his close companion, Lady and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rich was preceded in death by his grandparents. Visitation will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Rd., Madison on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014 from 3 p.m. until the time of service beginning at 5 p.m. Pastor Mike Willitz officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
