Rick Carlson

Richard “Rick” Adam Carlson age 54 of Madison, WI, passed away unexpectedly on February 4, 2025, at UnityPoint Health-Meriter Hospital. He was born on December 9,1970, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Richard “Dick” and Sonja (Hannes) Carlson. He was married to Monique Hawkins from 2007 to 2021.

Rick graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1989. Then attended Normandale Community College. Throughout his life he enjoyed playing and watching sports. He had a variety of sales jobs but most recently in the furniture business. Rick will always be remembered as a warm, friendly guy willing to start up a conversation with anyone. He is survived by Monique Hawkins (pets: Blu and Ren) and his sister, Elizabeth A. Carlson (Darrell Smith). Rick was preceded in death by his parents Sonja (Hannes) Carlson and Richard “Dick” Carlson.
