Richard A. Mcarthur

MADISON – Richard A. McArthur, age 69 of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at UW Hospital. He was born April 22, 1941 in Carthage, North Carolina, the son of Herbert and Johnsie McArthur. Rick retired from the UW Hospital in 2004, following 25 years of service. He enjoyed reading and the study of quantum physics. He also enjoyed his daily visit with the crowd at Jo’s Coffee House. Rick is survived by two brothers, Virgil (Delores) McArthur and John (Nancy) McArthur; his best friends, Kerry Smith and Dave Carrig. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of Rick’s life will be held at Jo’s Coffee House, 45 Bassett St., Madison on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010 from 7:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Rick’s name to HospiceCare, Inc., 5395 E. Cheryl Pkwy., Madison, WI 53711.
