Randy A. Woodward

July 23, 1961 — November 5, 2022

MADISON - Randy Alan Woodward, 61, transitioned in the comfort of his home, on Saturday, November 5, 2022, following his very courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Randy was born on July 23, 1961, to Lawrence and Rosalind (Macintosh) Woodward. Even at an early age, Randy was not a quitter and was great at everything he did. As a youngster, he even expressed this by taping a red marker to a stick and writing "Randy is great" on the ceiling of his childhood home for his family to see.

On May 17th, 1986, Randy married Karen (Krueger) Woodward. Randy, then living in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, met Karen, of Mt. Morris, Wisconsin, through a personal ad in the National Examiner tabloid, where they became pen pals. After a few months it was clear that they were destined to be life partners. Randy packed up and relocated to join Karen and her daughter, Shannon 'Shae' (Huber) Arts (Jason Arts), in Wisconsin.

One of Randy's many talents was teaching others, which he enjoyed for 30 years through his career as the Director of Training & Development at Ho-Chunk Casino, Madison. Following the casino, Randy continued to help and guide patients at the UW-Madison Ophthalmology clinic.

Randy was always very positive and upbeat wherever he went and had quite a following of friends who admired his positivity. When anyone asked him how he was, he always replied, "I've never been happier in my whole life." In Randy's free time, he enjoyed making pit-smoked barbecue, being a Star Trek enthusiast, driving his 1980 Triumph Spitfire, and watching and participating in professional wrestling. As "Lord Conn MacKintosh", Randy was the manager of the Foreign Franchise, infuriating the fans with his Scottish brogue.

Per Randy's request, a Celebration of Life party will be held in May 2023. For details please email, Randy.CelebrationOfLife@gmail.com.
