Phillip N. Pizzingrilli

October 16, 1948 — April 7, 2023

Phillip Nazareth Pizzingrilli, age 74, of Cheswick, Pennsylvania passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 7, 2023, in Madison, Wisconsin. Phil was the son of Harry Pizzingrilli and Tessie Delfina Pizzingrilli (ne DePoli). Phil was married to Beverly Hoff-Pizzingrilli for 38 years. They were married in Madison, on October 5, 1985. Phil was a jack of many trades, from teaching drivers ed and running his "beer business" back home in Pennsylvania, to his over 30-year career as an independent distributor for Safeguard Business Systems.

Phil is survived by his brother, Harry Pizzingrilli (Marilyn Pizzingrilli); his wife, Bev; his daughters, Pihra Pizzingrilli (Ilya Prokopets) and Sagan Pizzingrilli; and his grandsons, Oren and Remi Prokopets.

As a husband, a father, a grandfather, a brother, and a friend, Phil set the bar high. He was "present" in every sense of the word. Always supportive, always smiling, always having the right words to say. He was home for dinner, he was in attendance at every game, performance, recital, and wouldn't have missed those moments for the world. He never missed a weekly call with his brother back in Pennsylvania, and the 5th of each month never passed without a simple acknowledgment with Bev of those marriage vows made back in 1985.

Phil loved simple pleasures; a cold brew, a cigar, top down on the convertible, and most importantly spending time with his family, whether that be on the patio in the backyard overlooking his pool, in a stream, the Krivan back in Pennsylvania, or in Arizona with his grandsons, "The Lads" as he called them. (Nicknames were kind of his thing).

His energy and light spread to everyone around him. We will hold his memory with us in so many ways. Physically he is gone, but he will never leave us. Cheers, Dad. It's been a sweet ride.
