Peter Lemmerhirt

MADISON – Peter Eric William Lemmerhirt, age 52 of Madison, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010. Peter was born Feb. 28, 1957 in Kohler, Wis., the son of the late Richard and Alice (Bassmann) Lemmerhirt. Peter was a 1975 graduate of Kohler High School. He studied at the University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan and later graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He worked for several years at the Dept. of Corrections in Madison. Peter is survived by two sisters, Lisa Lemmerhirt, of Milwaukee and Heidi Lemmerhirt-Lane, of New Berlin; a niece, Eleanor; and two nephews, Nathan and Jacob. Upon Peter’s wish, no services will be held. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, intellect and his caring nature. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.
