MADISON - Peter G. Fedele, age 82, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2022, at Meriter Hospital. He was born in Madison on March 14, 1940, to Sam and Mary (Stassi) Fedele. Pete married his high school sweetheart, the late Betty Kraskey, and together they had four children. On February 15, 1975, he married Sharon Pivett, celebrating 40 years together, who preceded him in death on March 23, 2015.
Peter graduated from Madison Central High School in 1958 where he was a basketball star. He then entered the U.S. Army Reserve.
Peter’s career consisted of working at his dad’s restaurant, before owning his own restaurant in McFarland in the 60s. He then went on to become a car salesman and Finance Manager at several dealerships in the Madison area. His passions included playing and watching golf, euchre, and watching Badgers and Packers football on TV.
Peter is survived by his children: Peter (Nikki) Fedele Jr., East Moline, IL; Nikki (Ray) Stanzel, Madison; Sam (Beatriz) Fedele, San Antonio, TX; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Todd Swanton; sisters Loretta Bryan and Kathy (Gary) Harper; nieces, nephews’ cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sharon Fedele; daughters, Diane Holden and Sherry Swanton; son, Scott Pivett; parents; and a sister, Carolyn Fedele.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m., on Friday, October 28, 2022, at the UNITED PENTECOSTAL CHURCH OF STOUGHTON, 1501 E. Main St., Stoughton, with Pastor Richard Thomas officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. The service will be streamed live through Facebook, go to: UPC of Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family.
The family would like to thank the AWESOME staff at The Bay at Belmont Health and Rehabilitation Center in Madison for the special care they gave to Pete.
