Pauline "Pj" Richmond

Pauline “PJ” Janet Richmond, age 61, of Janesville, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

PJ was born on March 10, 1963, at Ft. Leonard, Missouri, to David and Diane (Propst) Brunsell. Over the years, she touched many lives, but her true passion was working with animals. She dedicated over 30 years of her life to the food industry before following her dream of opening Pawsawhile Doggie Daycare in Janesville six years ago. There, she spent every day surrounded by the joy and love of dogs, fulfilling a lifelong ambition. PJ's compassion, kindness, and infectious enthusiasm will be deeply missed in the canine world, as well as by her family and the many friends she made throughout her life.

PJ is survived by her father, David Brunsell, and stepmother, Leeanna (Corderman) Brunsell; her brother, Michael, and his wife Stacy (Zentgrebe) Brunsell; step-sisters, Taylor Dart (Andrew Walsh) and Chelsea Brunsell (Aaron Horn); her lifetime partner, Don Penniston; and by her beloved grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Diane.

A Celebration of PJ’s Life will take place on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at All Faiths Funeral Home, 1618 E. Racine St., Janesville, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the family will be used to purchase a Life Tree in PJ’s memory.  All Faiths Funeral and Cremation Services of Janesville is assisting the family.
